Had to CALL because Amazon chat is useless trash these days and after 45 minutes I received a tiny credit and a full refund.
Placed a second order, this time the case of the Airpods were scuffed up. Again another open box.
Once Amazon stops giving these "please keep shopping with us deals" on food/candy/water/random shit im out - products that are less than 6 months old should never be sent out as used.

If you don't see a serial number then it's fake.

Showing arrival between 6-10th.
Funny thing is when I searched the item on Amazon it showed it would be delivered tomorrow if I ordered it.
So maybe they're reviewing all the fakes out there.
No update yet and it still shows temporarily out of stock on the listing. Hopefully they're getting fresh genuine stock from Apple!
Amazon has us super spoiled with 2-day shipping. I don't recall ever waiting this long for anything from them : )

Wondering if this is someone in packaging dept. pulling order and then opening them up. Or delivery person opening them up, although I don't think when they scan item and drop off at my house, it shows them the item being ordered.
Just odd them delivering a package which has the bottom of the box slit all the way open. But maybe they're just doing their job and delivering a package. Its not up to them if it was opened or not.
Re-ordered....but now that I think about it...that may be the wrong choice as new delivery date is Dec 22-26...ughho.

Just got the order today. Same exact situation. Bottom of box was cut open and there was nothing inside.
Was your shipment carrier Amazon or was it UPS/Fedex?

For me it was an Amazon truck delivery.
Had me thinking where in the process this could occur. But has to be when the person who opened it knows the contents inside.
So after picking from warehouse.
Maybe they open the bottom tape and check contents. And if they see AirPods. They take them. Else they have tape that they can retape to make it seem like nothing happened.
But this seems to be a bigger issue which I would assume Amazon would try to look into.
Seems very fishy this can happen to same product many times over.
But the extremely long shipping time for the AirPods is odd too.
Hopefully we'll be able to get correct items soon. But unfortunately it may not be trending that way.
