According to PC Mag, they don't recommend Wyze.

"Editors' Note: We are no longer reviewing or recommending Wyze security products at this time. This decision follows a series of Wyze security failures, including privacy breaches in February 2024 and September 2023 that exposed users' camera feeds, and a significant vulnerability detailed by Bitdefender researchers in March 2022 that Wyze failed to disclose for three years. For trusted alternatives in this category, check out our roundup of the best smart floodlight cameras. Our original Wyze Cam Floodlight Pro review is below, but we have removed our 4-star Editors' Choice rating."

I've been a Wyze user for 7 years, and have been migrating to Eufy for a year now. Wyze is a mess and I don't trust them anymore after security leaks and lack of transparency.

That said, I still utilize both brands on a regular basis and using redundancy in case one has some sort of outage preventing me from getting video feeds.

I paid $150 for a single Floodcam Pro and stopped paying the monthly subscription so it's only really good for 24/7 recording and live view. The 180 degree view is amazing and Eufy's equivalent models have what they claim 360 degree viewing angle, but that's code for a mechanical tracking camera. It's really got a 135 degree viewing angle lens. But I'm not sold on the tracking technology as it's got its own share of problems.

I recommend this device if you are already or planning to go all in on the Wyze ecosystem with subscription model. It's an amazing price for an amazing piece of hardware.

Sorry for blabbing. I'm full from Thanksgiving food and alcohol, and ready to sleep lol.

This is a decent deal if you're already a Wyze customer and looking to beef things up. This unit is super bright, resolution is improved, and additional features - compared to their own products. However, I returned it and started my transition to Eufy. Costs just a small fraction more, way better product execution, no sub, better AI, clear high video definition etc. They both have a somewhat crappy app but Eufy is eating Wyze's lunch. I'm currently a 50/50 mix.

Any cybersecurity worth their salt will tell you no consumer security system company makes protecting your data their top priority. The idea is not to get caught with your pants down. And tbh, most people are leaking more information through their phone and computers than they care to admit.

I love my Wyze for less important things/areas while Eufy sits on my front door/garage to protect high value assets and high-traffic areas.
