I have an old AmEx Blue that has 70k or so of MR point on it. In the past, I used them on amazon (not the best redemption rate of 0.7c but cest la vie), but it seems its now a legacy card (maybe a year+ ago this happened? but I just noticed) and the points can no longer be used on Amazon. So my choice is either statement credit (for a card I barely use) or AmEx gift cards (both I believe are at 0.5c a point which is even worse than amazon, which makes little sense to me). I guess also AmEx travel would be an option (but I'm not doing much of that these days)
So what good options do I have for using these points? Is there anothe free AmEx card with MR earning that would enable me to use them on amazon? are there better ways to redeem the points that I don't see?
any recommendations would be appreciated.
In terms of credit rating, this is an account I've had for probably 20+ years so not quite willing to close it (but perhaps that foolish as well).
