These are NOT designed to be used with appliances that draw more than 10-12 amps. These are generally used with power strips to offset bulky power adapters (that hog up space on the strip). For that purpose, they're perfectly safe. For use with high current applances (like microwaves and hair dryers), don't use these! Besides, a 1 foot cord doesn't really do much to extend the original cords anyway!

I bought some of these in the past (different brand), really handy for tight spaces or where you want the transformer away from power strip/outlet.

CCC says these go on sale at this price (or better) every month.

These look really handy. I might buy some.

EDIT: I bought them. YIKES. I don't recommend these at all. The quality of these is like early 2000s chinese market stuff. I am returning these to Amazon.

Note: Special Feature 轻便 (lightweight)

Says ETL but the 1 star reviews seem pretty legit too.

Have bought some from a different brand in the past with no issues, they are handy if you trust the manufacturer.

From personal experience, you dont want cords that are glued together from 2 pieces. They'll eventually get warm and possibly pull apart, exposing the bare wires inside. Look at the male end on pics #5 and #6.

Are these really safe to use with fridges, electric car chargers, vacuums, microwaves, and hair dryers?
16 gauge seems like it would be a little too small but it is only 1 foot.
