It's a big shame that Paramount has no interest in reformatting Voyager for HD, or DS9 for that matter, especially in the age of much better AI upscaling technology.
FYI -

For anyone else not previously using FanFlix, I found this when I bought DS9 the other day. I got 5% off DS9 and Voyager was 20% off today.

Got my long term rentals of TNG, DS9, and Voyager for around $75 total. Can't complain too much!

Started watching this, and tried the P+ version also, but had to switch to watching the physical DVD version because the digital was so bad. The DVDs are much cleaner and get up-converted on any modern player. These digital versions are low quality conversions of the DVDs and have a big quality loss.

Yeah, disappointing, but I have learned that sometimes we just need to accept that content is king and that technology (in this case video technology) takes a back seat to the content itself.

As an example, I have the Kissology volumes 1, 2 & 3 on DVD. There are REALLY crappy quality videos from the 1970s of some of Kiss' first concerts. And while the video technology wasn't great back then, what a great luxury that someone had the forethought to record those videos, not to mention surviving all these decades and made it into digital form for everyone to witness.

DS9 and Voyager may suffer from poor video technology, but the content lives on.

I'm certainly pulling the trigger on this today! Smilie

But yes, like everyone else, it would have been great for these to be remastered. I'll enjoy it nonetheless.

BTW, are the Paramount+ streams indicative of what we should expect from the Vudu versions?

If so, yes, they are not great. I'll still likely pull the trigger at this price point though. Hard to argue 14.5ยข/episode.

Yes, Paramount+ stream is very similar in quality to these.

Kiss sucks. Bunch of extreme f'ing sellouts.
