They're not up to the same level as Lego blocks, but they're much better than the old mega blocks of the 90's. I personally find the Block Tech and Zuru blocks a little sharper and less satisfying to put together, probably because the plastic quality is a bit different. However, I'd say they're 80-90% of the way, and well worth this price.

For comparison, if this was a Lego set, it would be $80-$100. Here are a couple similar 800-1000 piece sets for comparison.
