and before anyone comes in screeching about warranties, dewalt doesn't care where the tool came from. when you RMA any dewalt tool, all they ask for is the production code and serial (on tools that have serials). that's it. bought dewalt and milwaukee stuff from randos on ebay and facebook before, never had trouble getting service on them
as for the tools themselves, the is drill is ancient and has been discontinued. the charger in the kit is really bad, it doesn't have a fan like the 8ah/12ah chargers do, flexvolt batteries get really hot and die on these. everything else in the kit is fine. the kit is not worth 380
I found one and they said it was $349
Can you share the item number? I can't seem to find it

3.Visit your local professional retailer. The retailer can evaluate the product and replace the bit from stock or work with DEWALT's Customer Service Team to order a replacement that can be shipped directly to you at no charge.
Boy, I wonder why I thought I could visit a retailer to get a warranty service performed? Maybe because it's on the Dewalt website?
