It may be a lower price, but based on experience, this vac sucks at sucking.
Yeah they really need to update this vac with a 20v brushless motor and make a bigger Flexvolt model. This model is around 13 years old at this point and even back then it didn't have good suction.
Smoking deal. Would be all over this if I didn't already have a similar Milwaukee. Bare tool is $159. But this includes battery and charger.

That said, the 2Ah battery is going to last 10 minutes on this thing. Use the on/off switch like a trigger to extend battery life.

I disagree. I have this model and two other dewalt cordless vacs and this is my preferred choice. It was great at removing the thousands of pebbles that are left over after removing wall tile laid over wire mesh. My complaint is that the filter is kinda small and can get clogged quickly with fine dust (e.g., sanding sheetrock mud).
Not sure it's a slick deal, though. The battery is way under-powered so you're basically paying 99 for the vac and the charger...which if you're in the dewalt ecosystem, you probably have a dozen chargers already.

X10000000

You can suck all the shit from this Dewalt with a Milwaukee vacuum if you have both vacuums turned on with their hoses facing each other.

I have the corded / cordless version of this same vacuum. One of my most used tools.

Not sure why others say it does not have suction. Never had an issue. Seems to be as good as my larger corded wet dry vacs.

Cordless seems like it'd be good for dust collection on cordless tools

Have this and the dcv501. This one is now in storage and I bought a second 501 for the house. 501 isn't for liquid, only battery, and has a much smaller bin. This one has a great design but even plugged in, it isn't strong enough to be useful.

Side note: The angled brush attachment for the 501 fits great on the newer Airlock system. No need for an adapter. Snaps onto my drywall sander, random orbital, and chop saw. Just push the bristle side onto the tool output.
