Split it in the app. When you go to pay there's two options at the top. The first says "Full Bill" and is highlighted in blue. You want to select "Split Bill". It'll add a box below it saying bill portion and you type in the pre-coupon total, $50 in this case.
No, sadly.

I typically will split the bill with myself though, first paying $50 using the coupon and $25 from my balance, and then the rest of the bill on a second pass with my expiring cash back.

Are you saying that restaurants are adding a 15-20% auto charge for paying with inkind, or they are just doing for all checks?

I have used the inkind app to pay for a couple large parties that restaurants typically add an auto gratuity because of "party of 8 or more" etc. I found this to be an advantage as I could use my inkind balance to pay it as it was on the check already vs. something I added.

Maybe a loop hole here. Even on a party of 2 ask the server to add an auto gratuity, usually 18% in my area (AZ), so it can be paid with inkind balance. Then I could add an additional tip which has to be paid with CC on file.
No. In SoCal right now some places are basically adding fees (kitchen, health dining in etc. Basically BS), So for example at Pija Palace, you get charged for food and drinks and then he adds another "restaurant fee" 18% and then you get to add a tip on top. Gelina and really about 1/3 of those on the SoCal list do this too for varying percentages (5%-20% that has nothing to do with the tip. IDK if you can pay that off the GC or not. So buyer beware on those. They DO list the fees on the menu so it will not come as a surprise. I don't use those restaurants anymore.

They've cut back on some of the promos they used to offer. For example, a lot of the restaurants used to let you opt in to a discount as a first time cover of the restaurant through inkind. They no longer offer that. The only worthwhile perk is to get a referral from existing users to get $25 off $50.

If you neglect to use your account for a while, they may email you a survey that gives you $15 off $15 that's good for a month. There's also a birthday promo but I don't remember what the offer was.

Regardless, if you live in an area with good restaurant options, this is still a great deal. Just not a crazy steal like months prior. Don't sign up without a referral though. You can stack the $25 off $50 referral with the use of the gift cards offered in this deal. Same cannot be said of the cash back perks earned

I noticed this as well. They still offer a first time discount when you go to the restaurant's website but lately they've been new users only.

I know you can use inkind to pay your bill, but how does it work for counter service places?

Example: I see Sweetfin is listed ( kind of like a Chipotle for Poke).
How would I redeem InKind Credit there?

Go in and order and they'll likely give you a check number at the counter to use on the app.

Has anyone tried to use inkind for TOGO?
It would vary. If you are in Phoenix, AZ there is a great place called Taco Guild. Nice date spot that is in an old church or just for some amazing tacos. I used to just come here for special occasions because of the price but now its essentially 40% off and I have been coming here several times a month. You can order online via their website (To Go order), select pay at store, then just use inkind cash/giftcard to pay the full balance and taxes.
You don't even need your credit card added to the app (normally you do to tip), since I usually do not tip for to go orders... Try the cherry chipotle steak taco, and get some extra chips/salsa (they already add some chips and salsa to the to go order).

That's how the app works if you dine-in as well. It's actually incredibly easy to use - you enter the check number into the app, enter the amount you want to pay, pay it, and show the cashier/waiter and let them know you used InKind. Done.

Yep, even El Torito of all places !!! with their overpriced fake Mexican food, and don't even offer refills on their Aguas Frescas. They charge a 5% fee

The elected reps capitulated to the restaurant cartel and said the fees could stay.
