Menards merchandise credits are great IMHO. You only pay tax once, unlike traditional rebates. Where I live, that's a 9% discount.
Decent oil but the days when it was a top choice for performance applications have passed. In particular, it shows higher fuel dilution than the top synthetic oils in direct-injection and forced induction engines. I've shifted my vehicles over to Mobil 1 Euro and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.

No idea on how it stacks up as an actual diesel oil, probably still fine for that.
Excellent for some motorcycle applications as well.

This is good info to have. Do you also know if the results are the same for port injection and forced induction engines? Can you share a link if possible?

There are still better choices and slicker deals even for my Diesels too.

This is a great oil for big block gas applications. This is what I use in my Ford E350HD with a 460.

172k miles and runs like a champ.

Direct injection washes the cylinder walls oil off...thats the problem for some oils. I beleive the problem is when the engine is cold, and the fuel mixture is richer.

It looks like it is. I bought some yesterday and the fine print on the rebate form says I will receive a check for in-store use only. Kind of a bummer, but I needed some oil and I will likely use the credit to pick up another gallon.

What do you prefer for diesels? I have been under the impression this was the gold standard

Decent deal if you need a heavy duty oil, but for gas engines, just pick a dexos approved super tech or Kirkland. When the Kirkland's on sale you can get it for 14 or 15 per 5 quarts.

25k miles on an old 07 CBR1000. Used nothing but Rotella T6 since I bought it used with 1400miles on the odometer. No problems at all!

I run 5W40 T6 in my backup generator vs straight SAE30. Where I live, temps can range from single-digits in the winter, to 100+ in the summer, so I prefer a multi-grade oil rather than having to change it depending on season.

Where is this? How would one oil have higher dilution than another? Wouldn't that be dependent on how much fuel is being pushed into the oil from a failed pump or rings?
