Why do you need to wall mount to figure out if the tv works

Purchased at this price just before Christmas. But the tv screen was busted when I opened it. I was able to work with returns and sent it back. Just got my refund yesterday and debating buying again or waiting til Superbowl and find local. Return was fairly painless. Sent pics, boxed back up, the same carrier reached out for a pickup date and they came and got it. Once they received the TV my refund was received.

Just FYI I accepted Friday, just now got told today it's not in stock. YMMV. I'll be asking for a refund if I don't get it. Luckily I used PayPal.
