the FDA requires that sugars created during production be labeled as "added sugar" in the US.
I had this same question before on my Oatly jug.

Unfortunately, these are still ultra processed food. There are artificial stabilizer and preservatives in the ingredients. The only one I found to be ok is the Basic line from Oatly.
Yes after opening you have to refrigerate, unopened they are shelf stable.

Looking at the Extra Creamy, at least, but I don't understand how the label says there are 4 grams of added sugar but the ingredient list has no sugar.

Maybe they updated it but when I look at the nutritional label it says total sugars 4g.

How is that compared to Califia Oats Barista version? We only use it in coffee and I find that Califia just by shaking the carton, it comes out frothy which I like.

Is this shelf stable? How does this ship from them? Sometimes my stuff gets jammed up for days, I don't want to risk milk (even oatmilk) if it's gotta be cold.
