Just picked up a set. Still have my original fist edition Studio Beats from Christmas of 2010 (15 years old now). Had to replace the ear pads a couple years ago, sound quality is still great, but you can tell it is "aged." Been looking for another set needless to say, seems like new Studio Beats are good, but they're more for heavy bass and "fun" listening, plus quite expensive compared to these. I LOVE music, so after reading a ton of reviews and specs on this set, it is highly rated and approved by tons of audiophiles who know what they're talking about compared to the Beats Studio. If you're looking for the next step up for audio customization, and near professional-level listening quality, I'd say these are the right choice from what I've read.

Not ideal for travel; open back headphones means people around you will easily hear what you are listening to. Not ideal/polite for public spaces. I'm extremely excited to start using these as my regular gaming and listening headphones for home though. Elden Ring is going to be next level now!!
The black SE model goes on sale for $80-$90, but I love the color scheme of this ivory/brown version. This si pretty much the lowest they've been (except for two very brief sales in 2022).
For under $100 this is definitely a top tier pair. Pretty decent all around pair great for music decent for gaming I used to plug this into the ps5 headset jack and it had good volume. This color is usually more expensive and it looks cool. Build is solid, Comfort is great they are nice and light decent earpads. Sound is good it goes for a 6xx tuning with mid bass very present. People seem to like this tuning but it is not for me which is why I wouldn't recommend the 6xx. Note: People eq this kind of stuff out but I would say the majority don't in this price range and honestly eq can only do so much for sennheiser headphones in general. Overall, sub 100 these are a top tier choice especially for all around use.

I don't know what it was about these but I absolutely hated them when I had them a while back I was using them with an amp / dac. They just underwhelmed me compared to even the Phillips 9500

I bought these for the Sennheiser name, but was very disappointed. My $50 Samson cans sound way better. The 599s improve with EQ, but why bother when there are better options.

Have 2 pairs of these and love them. Great for casual listening, work meetings, and especially comfortable for longer durations.

I already have the 6XX but I kind of want this as the color scheme is a perfect match with my Noctua fans. 😏

had this and SHP9500, SHP9500 is preferred: cheaper and more comfortable even wearing long time.

Eh, SHP6500 are floppy they're so loose and sound wasn't that impressive. All I know is I returned them and kept these.

These are some of my favorite headphones ever. They have a very nice warm/neutral tone but little bass. Great for vocal/chill/easy listening music and gaming.
