Picked one up on a previous sale and it's been great. I like the barrel grip and it has plenty of power for typical jobs.

If you need one on a job site all day long, maybe the M18 would be better. But this is perfect for my home tool set.

Somehow I ended up at HD today, and some rude staff member kindly asked me if I needed help, and then forced my credit card out of my wallet. Basically I have this jigsaw now with the battery hack to drop down to 99 with tax.

You shoulda complained to a manager. How ridiculous of them to pretty much rob you and send you home with a new tool

Buy once, regret once. Get the m18, you can switch blades to suit your needs and is powerful enough to cut through 3/4 inch thicknpime wood

The M18 is not strictly better than the M12. Depends on your needs.
