Looks like they're holding the price for H&R Block Deluxe w/ State steady at $23 but throwing back in the security software again. Same deal as last month.

And before anyone needs to make comments, it includes 5 Federal e-files and 1 state program. State e-files are $19.99 each unless you're in a special state that has mandated a set price. The Deluxe version of H&R Block DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE (NOT online/app) will do investments (Schedule D) while the online/app version of Deluxe will not.

Install state-1 on computer-1
Install state-2 on computer-2.
On comuter-2 go to installation directory -> Program -> State. There will be directory with state-2 abbreviation. Copy it as-is to computer-1.
Now you have both states on computer-1
Enjoy!
I installed the software on two different physical computers. Each with one state. I'm stuck now.
Last year filed with TT for free using Fidelity offer.
Wondering whats the filing fee for this year for Deluxe filing for both Federal and state after buying desktop app.
Anyone who filed care to chime in?

The lowest cost you can get with Block desktop is $23 plus the cost of some some postage. That is to file state on paper and federal using one of the five included e-files that come with the package. You get no state e-files with the package just the ability to fill and in file the return however you choose
If you want to efile state it is another $20 that I think ridiculous and I file on paper and pay a couple bucks for postage. Some people are getting that done by using their state's e-filing system but depending on what you sate has that may be extra work.
I do see people trading their extra e-files for gift cards and you could possibly lower cost that way and even make profit, I typically just let family members use them.
Aldo do not confused between the online and desktop versions as the fees gerating, eifilg and extras are different.

Not many years ago paper was the only option for state and it still works fine for me. If you give them a checking account number the refunds genarlly come fast.
At $43 for Block I don't consider it a value and online options can probably do that significantly lower for you but then you will lose many things I find useful and almost critical in the desktop version.
