Not a huge fan of Dubai personally but it's probably 100x safer, 100x cleaner, more technologically advanced, pretty solid infrastructure, and looks like a city from the future at night compared to any American city.

Vegas is an overflowing sewer compared to Dubai. As are most American cities.

Can be a great time if you have money and go during the right time of year.

Fun or not so fun fact. The Emirati population is only about 11% of the total population.

Even worse in Qatar - less than 5% are indigenous to the region. And same modernized desert filled with heavily exploited migrant workers.

Was there for World Cup … never felt so morally dirty leaving a country.

You must be joking. Dubai sewers were literally overflowing. They had to have an army of septic trucks just to haul away all the sewage, or the city would be flooded.

Google "Dubai poop truck."

Two first class tickets to dubai from phoenix would cost me like ten grand to go stay at a four hundred dollar a night hotel. That's not even anywhere near the beach. If you fly economy, it's $1500 a person and it takes 22 hours to get there. At my age time is money.lol
Why would you want to leave one desert to go to another one? (speaking as one who lives in a CA desert)

Wonder what the average cost of things are in India... like regular dinner at McDonalds, a 16oz diet pepsi, etc... Because 8708 rupees = $100 USD. So, you can either go real far or come up short depending on their consumer index
Got me thinking, and found that Starbucks prices are similar, although McDonalds looks cheaper.

These are Starbucks prices.

People who don't know better. I only travel to places where I'm legally allowed to exist which cuts out pretty much the entire middle east.

I'm not allowed to legally exist in Bedrock since I'm not a cartoon but I'd still visit if I could. Who doesn't want some brontosaurus ribs?

This is a slick deal if you live in Kuwait or Bahrain.
I can buy a beach front vacation for 7 nights off eBay for $1200 in a prime spot in the US.
God bless the USA

A chicken sandwich costs one dollar, and a breaded chicken combo costs five dollars.
