Where are you getting a new down coat for $17?
Costco has Eddie Bauer down jacket on sale for $20 lot of times. So not 17 but 3 bucks more will get u something better for sure..

They do. But very low quality.
This is ymmv but Uniqlo has past season down jackets on clearance for $20 at the end of winter season. Sizes and stock are very limited but if you check first thing in the morning right after they restock then you can get lucky. I got one last week.

Agree. Bought 2 of these from Costco, $7 on clearance and they're nice. Down 550 fill, so not for super cold weather but I'm quite comfortable in it at 35F outside. Comes with a hood too which is what I wanted.
