Well, given that I bought this yesterday before it was posted here, I guess it deserves an upvote. This, I believe, is the newest version from Ryobi. It allows charging through the USB-c port on the back and generally has higher USB power than the previous versions. I wish they made this specific one with a 12v outlet as well.
18V 2ah is 36wh. Even without efficiency losses that would be over an hour to charge at 30w. Likely closer to 1.5hr after everything gets accounted for. If Gemini gave you 40min it's another strike against using Gemini.
Pretty sure the USBc port on the front is specifically for this

Home Depot stores have the retail kit with 2Ah battery [homedepot.com] for $99.

This is a "bare tool" ("BT" in the model number) without battery for online sale only and most likely in a cardboard box, no fancy glossy retail packaging (which is a requirement for store items).
Those come with a 2 amping battery of only about 30 or less new value. This is better deal

So buy the OP bare tool at HD and a$30 2Ah battery from Amazon [amazon.com].

just a heads up, a lot of these fail overtime, they will no longer stay on after pushing the power button. with this unit you have to hold power button for a few seconds to turn it on and off. eventually it will get to a point where it will only work if you hold the power button down making it useless. ryobi replaced mine and the replacement did the same thing after a few months.

i put a review on the home depot website about the failure. they agreed to warranty the unit and as part of replacement they made me agree to allow them to remove the 1 star review.
thank you

why did you sell the stand alone?
wanted to save space and it offset the cost of this.

I have the other model that comes with a 12v plug, it's ok but the fan is annoying. it also doesn't lock on to the top of the battery well. my main reason for ordering this one is so it doesn't get knocked off easy from looking at it.

Not for very long
If you have one of the 8ah packs it might last a while. How many watts does your CPAP require? 8ah x 18v = 144 watts. If your CPAP pulls 30 watts you'll get around 4 hours per battery. Some power will be lost in the conversion. This is probably an imperfect solution. Get yourself a 100ah LFP battery and an inverter for 1200 watts of power. It is a more expensive but more perfect solution for your CPAP.

I'm not sure if $49 is Slick, but it will replace 3 tools. I have one of USB and one for 110v plus it acts as a charger. With this I can recharge the One+ battery from the 12v LFP in my camper and use the camper's solar. I usually grab an Ego battery and inverter to run a bucket area light. The bucket light has a dimmable LED bulb. This might power it for an evening or two. I'll give this a try.

does the original 18V inverter (the one that doesn't have ability to charge the 18V battery and no USB-C) suffer from this problem? i've had the original version for a handful of years, no issues.

is it just this newer version?

I'm positive that this is a modified sine wave output or else pure sine wave would have been mentioned all over the product description section.

Found in the Q & A that this outputs modified sine wave. Pass!
Interesting that they advertise it can charge laptops, tablets, etc. Although most people on reddit say with modern laptops, it shouldn't be a problem.

One thing I can think of is to power a 12v fridge without carrying a big portable battery station but might need the 8ah battery to make it worth while
That's what I do. I have a portable refrigerator and also a portable BougeRV freezer that uses only 35 watts on Eco mode. The refrigerator uses 45 watts on DC. I bring Ryobi inverters and 6ah and 9ah batteries. Recently the two-pack of 8ah was on sale at Home Depot so I got that also.

This is the best price I've seen on this inverter with the solar capability. I already have one but am tempted to get another. Very rarely do I see a Ryobi deal in which I paid a higher price for the item. But that's the situation here.

These have been this price since at least October of last year (at my local HD.) This doesn't seem to be any sort of burning deal. These are super handy though.

Not slick at all - this seems to be the normal price (as far back as I can remember seeing these at HD.)

I used this for Christmas lights on my fireplace mantle. A 2amp battery lasted over 12 hours.

That's silly
