They would regularly get me these items ASAP, almost shipping them immediately upon purchase. Then, when Prime was in "sign up as many subs as we can mode", those free shipping items would literally ship at the very last day possible of the shipping window, and sometimes even worse.
I always had the theory this was intentional on their part to cull non-Primers into the program. Of course I couldn't prove it, but I knew others that were noticing the same pattern.
Wonder if they bit off more than they can chew now by basically axing UPS and FedEx outta their supply chain. They like to think they're the best at everything, but perhaps this part of the logistics isn't quite their thing….or they just don'y give a sh*t.
