There are so many open boxes because this tablet is AWFUL. Literally feels like a 10 year old tablet and is even to slow for kids to use. Once apps are open, it's fine, but boy is the interface awful.
Other option for the A9+ 4GB/64GB model is sign up for metro bring your own phone plan $30 for first month, activate with eSim then use that active line to qualify for free A9+5G tablet 4GB/64GB when you pay a single month of $20 tablet line. $50 total out of pocket for brand new one with a bit of leg work
I have the Galaxy Tab A (8-inch version, but similar), and mostly agree. It is slower and the screen is not even close to my Tab S6 or my wife's Tab S8. However, once apps are open, it is functional. For the money and my specific use case, it is enough. For example, I stream music and movies several times a week. I use it for email, web browsing, and work authenticator apps too. But if you want a responsive tablet, this is not it.

I was thinking the same thing, never heard of them. Found them on ebay though, they have almost 400K reviews with 99.4% positive. Here's the link [ebay.com]

Seems like there's only one S9 left, I was about to buy it but might go with the S10 series through Samsung instead. With student discount and old ipad trade in can get an S10+ for $515 or S10 Ultra for $595.

Samsung website says this tablet has a Qualcomm SM6375. Anybody know how this compares to a MediaTek G99?

I would say they are in the same class.
Qualcomm SM6375 (SD695) is roughly 5-10% stronger, depending on which benchmark used.

How does this compare to Amazon kids fire tablet? My kids have it but roblox performance isn't the greatest.

I have this tab and another Chinese with the g99. I also had the S8+ and s9+. I moved on from the s9+ to a MacBook, got the a9+ to replace it... And the allducube mini pro with g99 instead of the iPad mini for use in the cockpit for my efb.

Both are impressive to use for the tasks I have for them. For comparison, I have lumafusion, I fly efb, and Garmin pilot on both.

I downgraded from my Samsung tablet that could do all these things exceptionally well to these models to do more personal things or specific things. Both handle flight operations just well... I do use them me Media tech 99 version specifically for flying because that has the GPS and cellular chip in it. It's also smaller at 8 in. So that's my dedicated electronic flight book. I have luma fusion on both and have attempted to edit video on both. I prefer to use it Samsung tablet with aluma fusion because it's not only a bigger screen but it actually performs better. The g99 performs well it's streaming media and things like that but, compiling it is just a little bit under the Samsung. And this is usually 4K or 1080p video. Stuff I should with my GoPro or my cell phone. And both of them are not going to be power houses at editing those videos. There's some super video from some of my GoPro cameras that it will complain about.

But more so for a serviceable media tablet, both platforms are very well done. I am actually impressed. I'm so impressed I'm going to get another cheap Chinese tablet for personal use. I'm about to put a video where I am comparing electronic flight books and I'm going to be using both of these tablets in the mic with the iPad in the video, but I personally refuse to use the iPad or mainly for flight. I don't have too much of issue with ipad... But I don't use for flight at all. Four flight is specifically for the iPad so I only use software this device agnostic

Does clicking on the 10% coupon link fail for everyone else? I looks like it's going to open the page, but closes before it actually opens and doesn't apply coupon... Click this [quickshipelectronics.com] link to activate the 10% off coupon

was able to get it to work on mobile after a bunch of tries. Maybe just an overloaded server. Thanks for posting!

Wish they had the normal A9 too! Love the 8.7" form factor for usage while lying down.
