These bundles are going to get real interesting again if the 9070XT can actually be purchased at $599 tomorrow.
no one knows how to code properly anymore. Games havent looked any different since 2015 yet somehow run even worse nowadays despite the increase in computing power we have

Slap in that CPU, plug in the SSD and then load up Monster Hunter Wilds on it so you can watch the game crash over and over on your brand new PC build my dudes!

Lol is the game that unstable?

Sidenote, really want a 9070XT so I hope it launches tomorrow and is available in decent quantities to replace my 3080.

How in the world does it have a metacritic score of 90% and IGN gave it a 8/10....

Because most review outlets sell out for false good reviews unfortunately. My advice is to not put stock in critic reviews and look for good user reviews that provide a solid scope of pros and cons after a decent amount of time played. It also usually pays to keep track of what devs are good and bad based on historical track record of game releases. Unfortunately, Capcom is going the route of greed now and couldn't really care less about their fan / player base anymore. Feelsbadman Frown

I haven't played it....not my cup of tea but supposedly it plays great on the PS5 Pro and has a ton of people enjoying it.

Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking, the console version is actually playable, and the PC version is just a hot mess port....

To be fair, this applies to every new major game release. Even titles like Dragon Age Veilguard received positive critic reviews and look at how that turned out. It's unfortunate, but we should always be wary of critic reviews for new launches.

This is a really good CPU.

I started a new build in a Fractal Design Ridge last month, with an i5 14600k. Despite trying three cpu coolers, Undervolting, fan curve changes, etc- couldn't get it to perform without running at 90°c+ in game- causing it to sound like a jet taking off, even idling.

Started doing some research, haven't had an AMD product since a Ryzen 5 2600x, but honestly getting just as good of performance from the Intel at much lower temps (4k gaming).

Most of the time it is like that, gaming consoles have a higher priority over PCs. Until consoles disappear PC players will be second.

How does this rate in the world of gaming. If I bought this setup with the 9070xt, would it be future proof for a few years? Or is there another higher end cpu I should aim for?

I can only speak to my experience.

The game has not crashed for me, yet. However, it does crash for some. It's also not well optimized

It's great, though. I hope Capcom steps up and fixed the issue for those who expertise crashing.

If heat is a concern, the 7 7700 probably would've been the better choice. Granted it underperforms vs. 14600K but it runs cool and quiet.

I scooped one from AE for about $165.
