I completely agree. This smells like Barbasol shaving cream. Bought the smaller bottle for $77 at Kohls, and gave it to my dad. To me, it's an older man scent, like 60s+.

I'm polar opposite. This is a barbershop fragrance and smells just like shaving cream to me. Not a fan.

This sentiment about fragrances appealing to certain age groups isn't as set in stone as people (especially the "influencers") try to claim. I like scents that some people claim are for the younger crowd and dislike some of the "older men" fragrances. And vice versa. And it sometimes changes in a daily or seasonal basis. I've been at the dept store and some teens have liked a scent and I will smell and like it as much or more than they do. Scents are a personal choice. There may be some general theme and trends but I think they are way more grey than black and white.
Very nice fragrance. Whenever I use, everyone says good things about this.
I like it, a lot, and I'm usually not a fan of lavender. But I have never gotten a compliment while wearing it. I do quite often with other fragrances, but this one seems to fly under the radar. I guess it's just not as aggressive as some other scents. Might smell like a cheap cologne to some people, but I've never come across anyone wearing it. Or I might not have noticed. Good all day scent, in my opinion. Strong lavender scent to begin, but mellows out to a nice vanilla that lingers on into the evening.
Still working through a 50ml bottle right now. A few sprays go a long way, this one is very strong. Tempted to pull the trigger on this, but I'm not sure if I'd get through a bottle this size before the scent began to fade. Great price if you're a fan, it's definitely different than other popular scents right now.
I just picked up a 10ml sample of this from the private blend line. This one is half the price and should be extremely similar. I have owned close to 20 Tom Ford fragrances and this one is one of the better ones in my opinion (if it is indeed similar to the old formulation).
Definitely one of my favorites, but also not a "safe" buy. Some people do get "old man smell" from it because it's not super sweet smelling or doesn't smell like an Aventus knockoff.
Nice lavender/"barbershop" type smell, smells very similar to Zino by Davidoff (which can be had for very cheap) -- the tom Ford smells much more refined and higher quality, despite releasing after Zino

No regular barber is going to use this on you 😄

Check out Jomashop. It's one of my favorite places to buy cologne.
