Would love to try one of these but I have baseboard vent covers (angled) and I can't find anyone that makes one. We sleep with our dogs in our bedroom and our room can easily be 6-7 degrees warmer than the rest of the house.

Wow I didn't know they made these. I was going to make a custom one for my bedroom like a decade ago and never did -- I got lazy and just zip-tied a portable fan/heater on the vent cover lol. Good to know

Unless you have an outlet nearby the wire and plug will get ugly.

There are a few different designs of these on Amazon and my favorite is probably the AC infinity model because the fans have a better noise profile than one of the other brands I have that looks like this.

All of them work, have easy to configure temperature settings so they're set and forget, plus fairly long power cords. That is the one thing to consider, though; the cables will run from the vent. I use them for upstairs bedrooms and it hasn't been a factor.

Have you tried closing down the vents in the rest of the house? The problem isn't usually lack of flow, it's unbalanced flow, where the room with the thermostat cools faster than the rest and thus shuts off. If you choke off the airflow some in that area the rest of your house will get to a more consistent temperature.

Certainly a great suggestion. Our house has the thermostat in the hallway roughly mid-house and thinking about what you said, I bet the main bathroom's vent may be distorting the average temp. We keep it wide open because I like it to circulated air especially after everyone's hot showers. But at night that bathroom can be a meat locker. Would love me some Amazon Echo powered vents to open and close. I have a Carrier system in my old house with zones but that was not made well and a furtune to keep getting repaired. "Alexa close bathroom vent!". I like it.

Thanks - exactly the question I had - not sure why you got TD'd.

I have a few of these. One is this model. When you set up the thermostat properly it works like a dream. Completely changes the game. My son's room is cold in winter and mine is hot in summer.

Added a few ecobee sensors in our rooms for hvac to run focused on those rooms and then the boosted registers pull the air from the unit in the basement. Works better than expected. I'm happy and will buy more
At this price.
