There's a good chance your screen will crack, even if you don't drop this or crush it. Mine spontaneously cracked as I was watching a show on it not even touching it. I actually heard a "tick" and saw the crack appear. Samsung will not fix it or even acknowledge that it's their fault. This has been a problem since the first generation. Buyer beware. You may get lucky and it won't happen, but if it does the cost to fix it is more than the laptop is worth.
Yet there is still no MacBook with an OLED screen... OLED for me matters way more than resolution. Plus benefits battery life. Depends what you use it for but we survived on qhd for a very long time.

Not a bad res at all, and that's even before you consider that its AMOLED and touch. The aspect ratio on the other hand...

You're joking, right?
Both the brightness and the resolution on this panel are terrible.
12" MacBooks from 8 years ago have higher resolution displays than this! I own a 14" FHD Thinkpad and the low pixel density is very noticeable. Would be even more noticeable on a 15.6" panel.

FHD is good enough.
I dont like RAM on this to upgrade mine. Overall it is pretty solid though.

I do not deny 1440p is better but in a laptop for Netflix? Barely noticeable. If anything, an AMOLED screen at FHD resolution should give you a better wow with its ultrablack than a 1440p/2k or even 4k screen with whitewashed LED blacks all over. Even black and white movies look and feel different on an AMOLED. It is a fundamental-changing experience, just like watching movie on a samsung galaxy with AMOLED, but is nearly 16 inch! If you intend to buy to consume video media mostly from screen, this is the sweetest price spot you can get right now without jumping into higher resolution that needs better processors and on-graphics card that will easily exceed $2k. Touch screen a huge plus on convenience- just so troublesome to type or scroll when you can touch and you are just sooo exhausted- Netflix excels in this.

Oh don't get me started with chinese OLEDs. Some people don't mind the pink-colored "N" for Netflix and I am thinking: WTF is the point of OLED if it is showing diluted colors no matter how much you change saturation?! I just think over-saturation is AMOLED is a godsend, you can ALWAYS tone it down to your liking but with a cheap OLED you aren't gonna be able to dial up the saturation that your eye thinks it is acceptable. So yeah, either AMOLED or pink "N" for Netflix OLED. Look, that "N" isn't supposed to be anywhere near pink!
