Atkins second ingredient, after water, is milk protein isolate, which contains 90% protein. That is technically better (and usually more expensive ingredient) than PP which has second ingredient as milk protein concentrate (70-80% protein). Atkins should be lower in fat (iso vs concentrate), but maybe they add some to increase satiety.

I'd guess the extra fat might be from the vegetable oil used.
But at $15.30, these are $1.27 per serving which is cheaper than many powders AND has more protein, with the added benefit of fiber and vitamins. If they taste good, have been stored properly, aren't expired, and make it to you, this is a good price for what you're getting.

Can you elaborate? Most of what I see are either beneficial salts, binders, thickeners, and/or emulsifiers to prevent the ingredients from separating and to help maintain a consistent texture. Just because an ingredient doesn't have a common name like "Vitamin E" doesn't mean it's inherently bad.
