Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

Reach out FB, only guy. One promo added, no Kickback as he claimed that it cannot be added after April 2018.

think i called 611. dont remember though. only thing i recalled was i called in on new yr eve lol. i was complaining about a free phone deal that another rep promised me. That ended nowhere. Then i got this offshore rep who was really trying to help out. At the end, i just said, how about just give me insider discount instead and he did it.

those are for grandfathered one plan that you cant get it anymore if you just joined tmobile

I am from sprint swac plan, I just called 611, lady saw promotion but couldn't add it on, she gets error after she gets credit card info and try to place order, she spoke to manager along with activation dept, was on the phone for over 1h, finally told me only way to have free line is to change my plan.
What do you guys suggest, try store or chat?

I'm also SWAC and tried adding the free line two weeks ago. DON'T do it. I had a rep who was trying her best and finally said it worked. The next day I got several texts saying my apple tv and hulu were cancelled. I checked my tlife app and my account was switched to Essentials. I freaked and called and got an overseas rep who finally was able to revert it back with a supervisors help back to SWAC. It's a bummer we can't get the line. I also saw on Reddit that the SOC on older plans like SWAC are being removed and its very difficult to get them back if the switch is made 'accidentally'. I would not try messing with the account right now.

Hi. I good to know, I thought I read from others who had swac that they were able to add free line.
I didn't know that swac had hulu too, i do have apple tv, how do you activate hulu

Anyone with a Simple Choice North America plan with already existing free lines get it? I have 4 free Lines on Us from a few years back.

Thanks for this info. I'm in a similar situation. How did you contact them to add the free line? Did you get the free line tile in your T-Life app? Did you ever get a text about additional $5 charge per line?

They told me it's not just free line that I can't, even if I have to pay our swac plans can't add any new line, ipad or watch is OK but just not a phone line, anyone else?

Line Discount ID250033: For customers with 10+ years of service.
Line Discount ID250259: For customers segmented "2025 Loyalty BYOD"

Which one did they add? The second one is for pooled plan only, which SWAC does not qualify because SWAC is not pooled plan.
