Namco doesn't own Ms Pacman.

We aint doing DEI Pacman!!! /s
Bally/Midway was distributor of Namco Pac-man in U.S.
GCC (MIT students) created Crazy Otto
GCC negotiated royalty payments in perpetuity selling it rebranded as Ms.Pac to Bally/Midway
B/M retained Copyright and Trademark
Bandai acquired Namco and then obtained B/M copyright and trademark, but not royalty
AT Games then acquired the royalty rights, just before Bandai Namco was going to
So it's owned by 2 companies now depending on how you look at each legal sub part. And they don't seem to want to come to a deal to have one owner due to the lucrative licensing deals that are available. Neither wins when it has to be withheld like this though.
