This one is refurbished by Tineco and comes with a 2 year warranty. Plus it's $120 cheaper than the one at Costco.
Then there is S5, which has larger tank capacity than the S3 or the IFloor 3, and also has some more fancy stuff.

I recently bought the ifloor 3 deal, thought the water tank is toooo small for anything larger than a one bedroom apt. probably going to bite on this one.

I just got the S3, but wish this had come around 2 months sooner...

I ordered the Bona solution to go with it. What are others using? I have engineered hardwood

They claim that you can't use anything but their own Solutions or you will mess up the sensors. I find the cleaning the thing out is gross and difficult, and I avoid using it unless I just plan to do a lot of floor and clean it one time
I mean if you were to suck up dirt and plastic in your water, let's say it's some trash on the floor, now where do you dump that? if you dump it in your sink you should better have a strainer, what you're going to have to clean that strainer out, if you dump it in the garbage you're going to have liquid possibly running out of the garbage, I wouldn't dump it in the commode because I wouldn't want plastic and dirt clogging my commode, so where does that leave? if you have a convenient place to dump it outside, well you still don't want to leave plastic out there as is in this example.
in the end, you kind of want to pick up as much of the dry things and plastic and trash with a regular vacuum as possible, and then come back and use this, but that's not much different from mopping in the first place
I suppose a solution is to have an outside sink with a large size strainer, so you can dump the dirt on the ground and separate out things that are not sand and dirt, to put in the trash. so I guess if you have something like that set up, you're good
and now that I'm thinking about this, why doesn't it have a cup in it that allows things as small as dirt particles to go through, but catches anything particularly larger. that would give you a separate cup to just knock in the trash, and then dump the water

There are brands that separate the waste streams, but I don't think Tineco makes them in particular. See dreame for example.
