Always wished woot carried similar deals for pc digital titles. Have a 4090 rig but still prefer buying games for the PS5 pro since there is trophy support and resale value, however monster hunters wilds seems to be a title that undoubtedly looks better on the pc...
It runs like ass on PC though. But if you have a 4090 you don't need to deal with peasant problems.

It runs fine on PC. Playing this on my Costco 4070 super rig and it's smooth. Just need to buy a new monitor to take advantage of the high res texture pack.

You can definitely get better performance/visuals than the PS5 Pro version out of your 4090, given your CPU is comparatively modern.

IDK if I'd even play it for that. I have MH World and really can't get past the first hour. Combat just feels incredibly sluggish and too many mechanics to remember. Maybe Wilds is more casual-friendly though.

Monster Hunter games seem to get pretty cheap over time. $20 doesn't sound unreasonable just not anytime in the very near future.

Sort of how monster hunters are.

There's basic friendly weapons where you just use one button to attack. Then there's the technical stuff.
The game is all memorizing the attack patterns and positioning

Why are you looking at this deal then if you don't like Monster Hunter. I mean I'm certainly not bashing you for it… if you don't like it you don't like it. But expecting something different is kinda wild.

I have the same card, runs great on a 2k monitor with nearly everything on high and ray tracing enabled. I just don't have the high res texture enabled. I hear that gives high-end cards a run for their money.
