If the retailer is required to pay sales tax to your state, it gets absorbed and backed out by the retailer. They eat it basically.
Same way the private independent regional appliance stores used to be able to have "no sales tax" special events, with the guy in the corny Uncle Sam suit on TV selling you televisions. Of course the sales tax still got paid, the store just "paid" it for you, and treated it as a discount on the product.
So for example, if you live in an area with 7% sales tax that enforces collection from the retailer that accepts your offer, and greentoe accepts your $1749 offer, the real price on the $1749 77" C4 becomes $1634.58 + 7% sales tax = the $1749 price that you pay.
I bought the one from buying deal. Has 4 year warranty. Was like 1390 but had 140 cash back. From what I read buydig is great retailer. And greentoe is questionable. That 4 year warranty seems kind of valuable plus better retailer.
Definitely not user error. I can show you the emails where they apologize profusely like that means anything. Just wait until you find out what YMMV means… 😂I've had good experiences with them as well, but mostly not great. One of my orders took six weeks to arrive. They canceled two of my orders last week. I've got a 83 inch G4 on the way now from them but these deals are not good enough to make it worth the headache. Best of luck to you though you seem like a great person.
I am looking for the 83 G4. What did you get it for?
Actually what you said is not accurate about greentoe. I'm familiar with what you are referring to and in most places it is called use tax. You're supposed to report it to your state if you do not pay sales tax. The greentoe purchases I have seen have sales tax included in the price.
I was only referring to the blanket statement and was not referring to this retailer.

I've been looking for a 65 inch OLED for months now and finally pulled the trigger. It's coming through FedEx Express Saver but I'm surprised that the tracking information says no signature is required. I would have figured it would have required it.
Just FYI these GT offers are incredibly unreliable, they often cut them short and cancel orders. They can be great deals but these prices are nothing special and definitely not worth the headache of dealing with GT. YMMV
Just to chime in on my experience: First time Greentoe buyer. I ordered the LG C4 77". It took about a day for them to show the seller then a few more hours for the seller to send tracking information. I'll update once I receive the TV, but so far no issues with the purchase.
This is my first time with GreenToe. I've had a good experience so far. Ordered the 65 OLED Friday, shipped Monday, received well packed on Thursday. Set it up last night. It's replacing a 2016 55 inch Vizio TV. It's quite the difference. Picture is amazing. Sound is pretty good. I am happy with this $1200 purchase and can't wait to mess with it more.

I went through perks4works and made an account with LG partners. They asked for my work email. No idea if a plain Gmail etc works or not.
