Great price. I put one of these on my shed so I can run an extension cable to it on the weekends.

Nice mod.

I've seen these used on golf carts with the lithium battery upgrade.

Here's one (link below) for $17.71 with the 12ft cord. I just needed one for my engine block heater,. I will install it in my grill, so this shorty works for me.

So this is to power something INSIDE by running a power from an outside source. Not an extension cord to get power to an outside like a electric tools etc. That's what it sounded like when I first saw the thread.
Thanks for clarifying.

Its so you have an easy port to plug your extension cord into. For example I have a engine block heater in my car, and I have to open the hood to plug it in. With this i can install this in my front grill on my car, and just bring the extension cord to it without opening my car hood. Its a plug in port to provide power to something in an easier, neater way.

I installed this on my boat hatch panel that hides the batteries and on board charger. I can just plug an extension cord in to this to recharge my 4 batteries and not have to open the hatch and fish out the cord. Works really nice and looks nice too. Great product.

Hey , thinking RV. There's already one place to plug up shore power...say one 30 amp circuit . Install one of these for a second 15a available (2nd circuit inside the hooch)?

Wrong. In this use it is not connected to the house panel or house wiring at all. It's just a wall pass through. Unplug the fridge and plug it in to this. Alternately you buy a 110v gen inlet with weather cover and wire that to a new dedicated wall outlet inside with Romex or conduit as code requires. This is much less expensive than a transfer switch. For some people it is enough to get by running one appliance art a time.
