These are similar to Shin Green, not quite as good and lack the actual mushroom and tofu chunks (been thinking of grating some shiitake to add to it so it'll cook/rehydrate fast). Wish they'd make actual Shin Green in microwavable cups. I do find it somewhat suspicious that these keep getting cheaper and cheaper...

Mine have mushroom chunks in them. Maybe not a ton but definitely some. They're decent sized pieces too.

You beat me to it, these definitely have the mushroom.

These are good vegan cup of noodles, I like having them around when I get hungry at work

Also worth mentioning that my non-veggie friends like them too. I ordered 5 boxes from the last sale, and my buddy who is very much a meat eater bought 5 boxes too.

Just for the curiosity of anyone reading.

short expiration dates? Is the noodle texture across all the different flavors the same? That is, not so great? these are deep fried? Why don't they just do it with dried noodles? No question I'm sure these could be made much healthier, but why bother when lots of people are buying it as is??…. Here's info about just one of the harmless-sounding ingredients: " "modified food starch" is most likely to have been treated with things like sulfuric acid, chlorine or other chemicals which are not altogether safe for consumption. Modified food starch is frequently composed of around 10% maltodextrin, which camouflages the existence of monosodium glutamate. The treatment of starch with less than desirable chemicals increases the risk of contamination and in some cases, we are actually consuming the chemicals. This poses a health threat and is the actual cause for concern when modified starch is used in processed foods.".. contamination is very likely that's why this ingredient is not recommended for those who have problems with gluten… it gets uglier but I didn't want to get too gory here. I just got it because it was so damn cheap but now I guess I'll just put it aside for emergency disaster food.

wanted to just use the noodles and trash the flavor packet where most of the really bad ingredients are but I had no idea something as harmless sounding as modified potato starch could be so damaging and it seems to be in the noodles itself?

"ingredient: enriched wheat flour wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, palm oil potato starch, modified potato starch, dehydrated flakes carrot, freze dried green onion, freeze dried corn, shitake mushroom, salt,

Most food use Best By or Best If Used By dates. Food doesn't magically expire after a certain date.
