Same here. Some good studies on Erythritol have found it could create blood clots, which of course increases the risk of heart failure or stroke. If they already added Stevia, I don't understand their need to use Erythritol too. Lots of companies tend to blend erythritol with Stevia in their packets just to increase their profit margins.
Is Stevia bad now or something? I know Erythritol can cause clotting but I haven't heard anything about Stevia.
Oh, not at all. It's the opposite. At least the studies I've read on Stevia have shown positive effects, such as a reduction in systolic pressure which is a positive for hypertensive people. Some people don't like the taste of it I guess. If you use Stevia, make sure you look for the ingredients in the back. Most Stevia products will have other blended ingredients, so look for Stevia extracts. I know both Amazon and Walmart sell Stevia extract, but it's a bit more expensive.

The evidence against erythritol is far from conclusive. The quality of evidence is not on the level of artificial trans fats for example. On one hand, there is enough evidence to justify reducing or avoiding it if you have a bad family history of clotting disorders. On the other hand, it wouldn't be surprising if better evidence later exonerated it as benign in the future.

Wow! That doesn't happen for me. Not even food poisoning givens me immediate diarrhea... there is at least a few hour delay between ingestion and diarrhea when I get food poisoning.
