Some of the other anthologies are also on sale,
dinosaurs earth, aquatic life, plants
If you are in NYC, you can borrow the eBook versions of these DK Children's Anthologies book from Libby (through your Public Library account). Guys we paid tax and this is our benefits. I think the same will apply to Libraries from other cities.

There should be an auto-post of pre-selected text explaining that real books and e-books can sometimes be obtained free of charge from local libraries. Save all these folks from having to tell us.

yeah, I use libby for all kinds of books but sometimes I want the physical copy. I am gonna read this with my son and who knows, maybe in 30 years he will read this same copy to his child. Libby is amazing, but I don't really want to read bedtime stories to him from a tablet.

According to reviews, it's great for 5-8 yos. Amazon's bot says that it's perfect for 8 yos so a majority of the reviews focused on that age.

I'm curious ... Is this written in British or American English, e.g. colour vs color? And are the units in metric or imperial? I only ask because the author is British and I'm wondering if it might be confusing for kids. Sometimes there is no American version of British books (and vice versa) because the two are so similar.

He's 7, will be 8 soon. If the kid is interested in astronomy, definitely give it a try. It's great for learning about new astronomy stuff. My son loves astronomy so it excites him. Also, just FYI for all here, NASA has a podcast called curious universe. It's very well thought of and storied. They cover a wide range of topics. You should definitely give it a try. We have it running almost all the time in the car.
