Personally really like the sapphire crystal screen and have, for several generations now, been buying prior model year steel watches at the price of current model year aluminum models. It's worked out well.

IMO, from a guy that was finally talked into buying a version 7 45mm from comments on a deal thread a few years ago I'd say save your money and just buy the regular model in the same size and then buy a snap on protective screen and side cover. To this day I regret that $500+ purchase and I do construction type work where a stainless makes sense. This is a good deal for what it is but 99% of you don't need it and are wasting your money. If you disagree by all means buy it.
