Wow! This thread is S-L-O-W Tumbleweed

DS got tubes in his ears this morning. All went well, he is sleeping soundly now. I would too if they gave me Demerol. Evillaugh

No shopping for me today. Babysitter comes tomorrow, so I can wait to have a few solo runs then.

As for today, we are ordering in pizza and ice cream and having a Disney DVD marathon.

Have a great day everyone Grouphug

Wave Soo I am here. I should be sleeping from working all night, but had some medical crap come up this weekend so no work this week. Its nice bc I need to the rest, but its gonna suck come payday. 2 days on a paycheck (as opposed to 7) is gonna hurt us!!! Sadwalk Oh well, I guess that is what savings is for.

All I can say is "WOW". We are expecting another 10-20" of snow tomorrow, they are saying to expect blizzard conditions. Faint Thankfully, the bright sunshine yesterday and today is really helping to melt the snow, but when we went driving around today, there are lots of roads that are still very poorly plowed. On any given road, it could be clear for a couple yards, and then bam!, you hit 6 inches of packed snow, or slush, or ice. Not good. The county we are in has already called school for the remainder of the week - they don't go back until day after President's Day. Government's closed today, and I just don't see how they can be open tomorrow. The Metro has several outdoor stations in VA, and those haven't even opened yet. Buses aren't running because the sidewalks aren't clear. Can't have crowds of people standing in the road, waiting for a bus!!

Craziness. I *have* to get out tomorrow and get some more groceries, before the next storm moves in. We are just about out of meat in our freezer, and I'm sure we'll need more milk by then. My sister said, though, that the grocery store she went to today didn't have hardly any meat, because the trucks can't get through. And what they did have, was marked down because not enough people were shopping and they weren't selling it.

But I'm in for the day. Hubby's working his second job - its only a 5-min drive from our house on mostly clear roads. We went out for a bite to eat for lunch, and stopped at Safeway so I could get some free cereal and granola bars, and then ran into to Target real quick to get a shower head. I didn't use any coupons!!!

My in-laws are supposed to fly in Thurs evening, but it remains to be seen if the airports have caught up on the backlog of flights by then or not. Reagan just opened this morning but was only expecting a few flights to take off/land. I hope they are able to make it. My MIL drives me crazy because we're so different, but I do love seeing her with her grandkids. She loves them to pieces.

OK, I need to get off here and start doing laundry!! Have a great afternoon, everyone!!

Gator, glad to hear ds did well.

We had a nice day here. Lots of sunshine so hopefully the ground has dried out some from all the rain. At least we don't have to shovel rain Smilie So, I'll take rain over snow any day.

It really is beautiful weather right now. We did get some nice bright sunshine for the majority of today, so that was nice. Tomorrow, though - looks like two storms converging, which makes for a ... mess. As long as I have food and water, I don't mind. I'm not stir-crazy. Yet. Big Grin

Oh, and I was so happy the Saints won! Hubby thought for sure the Colts would win, hands down, so I was glad the Saints pulled it off.

Gatorcater~ glad your little guy is feeling better.

Flugette~ stay safe

Had a craptastic day...Took the baby to her specialist appointment (dermatologist) and she is on 3 prescriptions and must use CeraVe Cleaner, Lotion, and cream daily. She has acute eczema Frown

Got home and took my shoes off and my oldest's school calls. He had been in a "scuffle" Mad
Worst part...he broke his hand (5th metacarpal) on some poor kids head. I.AM.NOT.AMUSED. They were all playing soccer and another child tripped him and my DS punched him and they scuffled to the ground before it was broken up by teachers. Im torn...I hate to be too rough on him because witnesses say the kid did trip him up. BUT, did he really have to punch him? Ugh. So he goes to school on a Naval Weapons Station and they have a ZERO tolerance policy. The principal didnt feel suspension was warranted considering he was provoked so he got ISS (in school susp) for one day. I think thats fair but Im stuck...what if the other child incurs medical bills. Should I pay them? Im thinking no because he admitted to tripping DS and in my book "starting it" PLUS I have a child with a broken hand and an orthopedic appointment tomorrow for a hard cast.

Anyway...sorry to be a Debbie Downer. Its just been none heck of a day. Thoughts?

Its actually the bone that runs down the side of his right hand. The doctor called it a boxer's fracture/break. It would say it between the knuckle and the wrist. He is in a semi-cast now and goes to an orthopedic specialist tomorrow to get it set. It is right below and amost connecting to the growth plate. Does any of that make sense? laugh out loud

Hiya... went to my OB today for a checkup. Baby seems fine, but they found a heart murmur and stuff when they checked me out, so they are sending me to a cardiologist next monday. She said it may really be nothing to worry about, so I'm not freaking out yet...
