Hi! Peeps.

Took forever to get to work. Once I get there. I ws told we tried to call you and tell you not to come in. Bad weather here too!

So what happens? Store closes early. Got paid for 4.5 hours instead of the nine hours that I was scheduled.

Catching up on the reading. Hopefully the weather is kind of good so I can shop before I go into work tomorrow night.

I read about Quaker and Fusion. Anything else. I haven"t done a Target run for at least a month. The kiddo has been doing them all.

Wow, looks like lots of us are getting the bad weather!! Bet I can beat you all with total snow count, though!! laugh out loud This is a contest I would NOT like to win, however. Tomorrow is gonna be a doozy. Wind gusts up to 45 MPH!! EEK! Not living in a hurricane zone, we're not used to such craziness. Mix that with snow falling, PLUS the existing 3' already on the ground, and you've got serious problems. They're warning us to be careful of collapsing roofs, downed power lines, etc. Good gracious. When is spring coming, again?

I totalled up my receipt from that grocery store where they messed up my coupons, and they jipped me $20 in doubled coupons!!! I *knew* my total was way too high. Just makes me mad. Now I have to call back and hopefully the guy remembers me. grrrr...

Why is Bejeweled Blitz so addicting????

I worry about that too, don't know what snow load requirements are for roofs around here. We also cleared the snow off our deck yesterday before we got more, for the same reason.

Stay safe!

Hope you are finding lots of q's. Sounds like fun!

Flug, Kopenny and setsail and everyone else in the way of bad weather, stay warm and safe.

We had a roof incident years ago when we lived in Alaska. We were living on the air force base and something went amuk with the contractors they had to clean snow from the roofs. They wouldn't allow us to clear our own roof because of insurance liability, so.......Christmas morning we wake up to water pouring through the ceiling in dd's bedroom, and all down the walls in the living room. DD said, in a very matter of fact tone: Look what Santa and the Reindeer did, they broke the roof Roll

Tried a normal run today with venus and olay. No biggie. 6 of each. Cashier entered 2 of my olay q's and flipped on her light. LOD (loser on duty laugh out loud ) gave me the 1/purchase speech. I held my tongue and told the cashier I was sorry she'd have to put everything away since I wouldn't be buying anything from them. Crying because this is one of my usually favorite stores!

went in tonight.. looked around, cashier selection was not good, so I left the buggy and went to the car. As I was leaving I saw one of my favorite cashiers entering.. SO, I went to the car for a few mins, organized qs, and headed back in to find my cart.. used lots of coupons, left happySmilie
My neighbors doggies love the ceasar and pedigree mixed.. who knew they tasted so good together. Wish I had known beforeCool
Yeah, I'm fully stocked on that expensive Combat...closet is full of it so no worries about exterminators this year Big Grin I did need something for the bathroom though since dd has developed a phobia of the Renuzit automatic sprayers Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Flu - be safe!!! That is A LOT of snow! Have y'all gone out to try and brush stuff off your roof with a ladder and broom/shovel? We have had to do that in other years where we had a lot more snow. Sending BE SAFE thoughts!!!

I am sorry about work & not getting thru to you! That is awful! Especially as you have to trek there & then don't get paid! It reminds me a bit of when I went to take my driver's test years ago and there was a huge snow and I showed up and they told me that all of the test had been cancelled so I should go home - I sat and argued that they had all driven there so it can't be THAT DANGEROUS ... finally one guy asked what I was driving and it was an ancient HUGE BOAT (Lincoln town car) and he agreed to give me the test because he said even if I hit anything nothing would hurt us LOL I passed with flying colors even and didn't hit anything --- but I remembered cuz of the storm thing.

If you get a chance to shop remember to get your pet food as well as your Quaker (I think it is the individual size brown sugar or something very similar) and some folks have found clearance on home fixings - sheets/towels etc. There are elusive Hungry Jack B2G1 coupons out there ... but I don't think they are in this area ... and there are also Pepsi coupons at 7-11's (do you have those in your neck of the woods?)

That is AWESOME!!!!! I hope that you get 1,000 yellow daisies to fill your house Smilie Yeah for shenanigans!

Hey do you happen to know whether the Valentine's Day movie peelies work like the old Ponds peelies of old? Specificity?

ROFL! That is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! I am glad that y'all were ok - and that you got some giggles ... I do hope that they fixed your roof promptly!

[snip]So I have requested the appropriate paperwork from the central DPI office and then once I have filled it out & mailed it back in then he can be homeschooled. [snip]
My daughter is doing better now and is on another antibiotic so she is showing improvement - she was in such a bad way [snip]
hug Sorry to hear about your dd - I'm glad that she is doing better. I really hope you get everything worked out with your son also!

Quote from Dec12Girl :
Dana - I contacted the person at DPI who is charge of that here and they said that until it is "accepted" which seems to mean that they receive it via mail and stamp it with the official seal he has to attend school - although I should continue to call the school daily until they receive a copy of the paperwork which could take a couple of weeks longer *but he does not have to attend the school for that time - only until the central office has done their part. I will be calling THEM every day to see if it has arrived/been stamped yet.
Is there any way your pediatrician could be talked into giving your son a medical excuse to stay home from school for a few days? Surely he/she could understand that it is very bad to be so stressed out.

Quote from Dec12Girl :
A birdie just gave me a good idea for making sure that the form is dealt with in a TIMELY manner Smilie I think I will be making the trek to their office in person and tracking down the stampy person!!!
I was going to suggest the same thing! Glad you got some good advice!

I think it is like visual/mental crack. Even my toddler will climb in my lap and stare at the screen and say, "More jewels, mama..."

Wave Gonna head to bed. I am thinking that I have asthma on top of everything. I've had an unproductive cough for over a month that gets worse at night, tightness in my chest, and shortness of breath. Blah. Frown Not sure if I should go to my regular doc or talk to the OB. Confused I guess I could just call and see tomorrow...

Anyway, have a great night everyone.
