Lots of the low reviews say that the keypad stops working after a couple years, and there is no real customer support to get it working again. My two cents, don't buy Amazon Basics for anything other than trinkets. This is supposed to keep your most vital property safe from flood and fire. Do not risk it all over a couple hundred bucks.

Really good perspective. Thanks. Been waiting for a decent one for few years to store some docs and laptops. I'll hold off for now until I see a better product/deal

I would definitely probably not buy this. I have been researching safes for a little while now and just went to my local Costco to look at the Sanctuary safes there and both the small one and the big one when the guys tried to open them up, the keypads were not working and they complained how this kept happening so I definitely don't trust the keypads on an Amazon Basics safe.

It's always a good idea to get a safe with a key back-up just in case the keypad stops working. I learned the hard way!

Yes this happened to me with an Amazon basics safe. The keypad stopped working, and I was forced to break the safe open which defeats its purpose to begin with. I'd go with another brand.
