PSA: This is one of the few Thunderbolt docks NOT compatible with Apple M1 and newer Macs. It ONLY works with Intel Thunderbolt 3 systems.

I certainly wouldn't count on it for AMD USB4 hosts either.

Very high price even before considering that. Uses TB3 docks with this much functionality go for like $30 to $50 used.

That's weird, considering I'm using one with a M1 MacBook Pro right now ...

A thunderbolt dock that doesn't rely on USB and your CPU to drive displays?

It may work with M4. But I would buy used all the same.

My presumption is Anker put that warning because of bugs at the time with macOS ARM *and* base M1-M3 only supporting one display (up to two with lid closed at times).

But that said, it doesn't surprise me that newer macOS work fine. Anker has discontinued it and probably isn't interested in updating docs.

Mine works too, but it's very buggy with my monitors. Ended up having to plug into my 34in separately

The only way that would be possible is if there's a GPU in the dock. Only one ThinkPad dock has attempted it this far.

Big problem is GPU demand is too high versus supplies for that to pencil out.

My understanding is this is a standard TB dock, it just used a different chipset variant that Apple Silicon didn't like.
