You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

Nice! What type of plan are you on? Post-paid? I might do that too even if it means more out of pocket each month.

Can I buy it now before it expires and activate it in September when my current MINT 12 month ends? I can then use it and switch back to MINT or keep their low tariff if they have it

I understand you need to pay an additional $2 to park the number and change the settings to receive SMS. A better option is to use a different number to purchase the phone where you can receive texts, then use the Number Barn number when you port. You do not have to use the same number to purchase that you use to port in my experience.

Yes sir. I ordered my 3rd one on Monday, but I'm still waiting for Total to send me an email w/ my shipping/tracking info. Now, I'm not sure what the limit is, but I had to create a separate account for each one of the iPhones I ordered.

Thanks, OP...I got the phone Friday, activated and ported in my GV number immediately. GV took until Tuesday to fully move including incoming calls.

Now, how do I get another line (maybe the RAZR)? Do I register a new account or do I add a line to this account? TIA

Does anyone know if they will ship to a different address than billing? My permanent address is halfway across the country. I saw 1 comment say that it didn't accept Visa gift cards, which is how I usually get around companies that won't ship to an alternate address. But also the address on my ID wont match the shipping address either.
I might try the deal in store, but I was hoping to delay the activation for a month. In store I am guessing they will port and activate immediately.
