If you pick one of these up make sure that you update the firmware to ensure compatibility with your devices, especially if it doesn't output video when you first try. Ran into this issue with the Switch and after the firmware update all was well.
Still waiting for that 20 dollars deal
I have a Pixel 8 Pro, and this will both charge full speed, AND will duplicate my phone screen on a TV at the same time

I like everything about it except that it won't charge my Anker 737 battery bank. Used it on a trip last week with my Legion Go with no other issues.
Any idea why not? Both the charger dock and the 737 support various power delivery protocols. It's not important for me, I plan on using it with a Legion Go as well, I'm just really curious.

I was today years old when I learned that Google stopped hardware locking video output on their pixel phones starting with 8. This was exactly why I was considering a Samsung for my next phone when my Pixel 7 dies. Thanks!

Dang when did the $20 deal happen? Bought this last time it was $30. Works great connecting my Legion Go to my TV.

Which you rather do: keep or spend $20?

Crazy how $10 difference influences someone's life lol

I picked one up today and tested the cable that came with it. It does do video, which you'd expect with this kind of device. It also does USB 3 speeds. Sadly it does not have an e-mark chip so it's limited to 3A current. That's sad because this has less voltage drop at 3A (less resistance) than pretty much any e-mark cable I've tested.

Laptops usually use less than the power supply that comes with them. The laptop I'm on right now came with a 100W power supply. I'm running it from a 45W power supply, and just dorking around on the web its's using about 20W. If I'm doing 3d modeling or something then it'll draw from the battery at high-energy usage times, and it doesn't even complain about the power supply. Power Delivery is pretty awesome. It's also safe to plug in a power supply that doesn't do 20V. The devices communicate with each other before any power is connected. I tried a 12V max USB-C Power Delivery charger in my laptops. 2 of them throw up an error and just won't charge (no damage done), and one of them surprisingly does charge.

This device can output 65W (3.25A @ 20V) from the USB-C port when nothing is plugged in to the USB-A port, and 60W when something is plugged into the USB-A port. You should be able to run your laptop at maximum speed while charging its battery at maximum speed with this device.

I am not 100% sure. However, this device really isn't a "charger" it's a docking station in a charger form. I suspect that the Anker views it as a computing device, not a power source, and wont pull power from it. Similarly the Anker power bank wont charge from a laptop or a phone.
