Aliens 3 and 4 while entertaining and fun, should be ignored. They did Hicks and Newt wrong.

Aliens 4 was especially comical and while I liked Grima Wormtongue, the rest of it seemed silly.

Prometheus was OK, I didn't like the backstory of Aliens simply being an evolutionary weapon but it at least explained things. Covenant was equally Meh.

I did like Romulus though, it has great replay value.

Anybody not in the know, there is a 4k fan edit of Alien 3 that just released.

They go through great lengths explaining what they did to put it together, from a directive stance as well as technical. A3 is the divisive one among fans, and I've never been in favor of it, but I greatly respect what they have done here.

I mean…..I watched them all, some were great, some were……not as great. BUT! If I were to spend money on a Weyland- Yutani based storyline, I'd pick up a Directors cut of "Aliens". That is money well spent.

I remember when the Alien box set (up through Alien Resurrection) was released as a quadrilogy and people were calling out the term because it's Greek-rooted and supposed to be a Latin-rooted tetralogy. Now there are seven I assume it would correctly be called a septalogy or something. But I'm looking forward to a heptalogy.

Varying opinions here but I thought the directors cut of Aliens was trash. The theatrical version was long enough and complete. Didn't need any filler which didn't add anything to the story. Besides, the scene from the colony of a kid riding a big wheels ruined the immersion a bit.

I never even noticed. Is this also true for Disney plus because I thought I saw higher quality sound listed on the Star Wars and other movies but I could be wrong. If so maybe it's upgraded sound on Disney plus with Hulu? Idk...

I'm not sure which apps you're using, but I'm using Apple. With Apple, you can download the movies to your local drive or iPad and watch them offline without an internet connection.

My guess is that within a year there will be a 4K UHD physical box set that will drop as low as $75. In the meantime I have my BDs.
