The return flight was the "hottest" flight I've ever taken. It was probably 85 degrees F in that airplane. The passengers all around me were all using the safety pamphlet as fans or they had brought mini fans - I was sitting next to this asian lady and she was wondering why it was so hot too.
I questioned the stewardesses about the temperature and she told me that it wasn't hot, instead other passengers were asking why it was so cold. I doubt that because no one was using the provided blankets.
I have never sweat so much on an airplane prior to this and I fly twice a month and fly international at least 2-3 times/year.
Going through customs on the way back was also a pain as well.
There are 3 lines:
1. Global entry
2. Those who downloaded the CBP app.
3. Normal line for all passports.
The Global Entry and #2 were bundled into one lane for some reason with 2 people manning it, but it was still slower than the Normal line for all passports. I actually left that lane to go into the Normal line after it didn't move for 20 minutes.

If you have $100 off of $500 on Delta on your amex card, makes it better.
FWIW, Taipei/Taiwan is amazing. Flew there twice last year, one of my favorite places in the world to visit now.
FWIW, flying to Tokyo this September (2025) on Delta non-stop out of Seattle, $560 round-trip (not points). I believe that was the special Delta ran to compete with Alaska (that started doing that flight). Alaska was $800 though... Delta killed them.
Anyway, yeah, agreed, decent deal for non-stop to Asia. Highly recommend Taipei, amazing. Just the snow (not shave) Mango ice makes it worth going over and over. Such an amazing place.

I've heard from family and friends that Delta's experience has been the worst compared to the other airlines
