I have something similar to these alarm sensors and I just love them. They're about ten years old now and still work awesome! It's nice to have a backup to give you a couple of extra minutes to either get you to a safe place or to get your protection out. Also, no lag or anything or power issues. Mine are batteries so I know it will go off. I recommend these alarm sensors, even if you want to use it for your small child to not open a door. They come in handy.

This was a cheap system while we were in college. It scared off a burglar once. It's just sensors connected to a lead unit. It's not connected to any sort of network notification system that alerts you or police

not at the same time. you have to choose one or the other with a manual switch (off/chime/alarm)

we've used these for over 15 years. originally in apartments during college as removeable and easy alarms, and now at our home to make sure our young kids don't randomly walk out the house in the middle of the night. our current set we've had for probably 5 years and still on original batteries. we set them every night. painted one of them with brown spray paint to blend in better with wooden front door

Have them in house on all doors for more than a decade. It is loud even in chime mode. You have to change batteries every 3-4 years (how often you open the door; if you put at height then it is slightly difficult to change)). On some doors you may have to use double sided adhesive after some time.

Has anyone used these on glass windows with the intent of them going off if the glass is broken?

It might not work, because it's not a vibration sensor. For it to sound the alarm, the two pieces must be separated by about half an inch. So if the two pieces are stuck to the same piece of glass and don't separate, then it'd never go off.

I recommend getting window vibration sensors for what you're asking for. I actually have both alarms on my windows/doors. One for when someone starts banging on the glass. And the other for if they used a tool to pry the window/door open. And then I have a camera pointed out the windows/door that notifies me if there's any loud noises or people detected outside my window.

I have this, bought in 2021. Batteries are included and still working to this day. I have it set on my garage door and front door entrance so I know who's coming and going. The chime is very loud, so I have masking tape covering the speaker to soften the sound, otherwise my whole neighborhood can hear it. The alarm is a siren, pretty loud too.

The description says wireless alarm but it doesn't look like these units can connect to/trigger anything other than their internal beepers, correct?
