Yes, MSI is better. Especially if you have a Nvidia GPU.

Edit: I swear this deal said G-Sync earlier, not FreeSync.

Specs seem pretty similar. Both the MSI and Dell claiim to have a "narrow bezel" or "Ultra-Thin bezel" respectively. But its hard to tell from the pics, as both of them show (in some of their pics) a very typical and HUGE dead panel space (which they euphamistically call the "bezel" nowadays), and then show edge-to-edge displays in other pics. So hard to know for sure. For me at least, whoever actually had a "thin bezel" would be one of the major decision points.

for office productivity, sharp text, less eye strain, likely greater longevity, the referenced DELL is a better pick.
https://slickdeals.net/f/18280138-299-99-34-dell-s3422dwg-3440x1440-144hz-va-curved-freesync-gaming-monitor-at-amazon?attrsrc=JFYCarousel%3APosition%3A7%7CJFYCarousel%3AType%3Athread&src=jfy
Also, the 1800R curve radius of the Dell is more natural than the 1500R radius of this MSI. The 1800R curve would be less prone to eye fatigue and would allow you to sit further back from the monitor for easier viewing and more comfort. It also takes up less depth on your desk.
