That's not how pixels work though.

I would gladly take a higher resolution than 4k to make it happen lol I know it won't work at 4k resolution. 5120x2880 would work. The only way a dual mode monitor would be useful to me.

Hopefully lg listens and makes a monitor just for your needs!

Decent cash back available. About 600 out the door. Not a bad deal.

LG.com has the better price for this if you stack coupons/cashback. Right now the mouse is out of stock, but if it comes back you can do the following on LG.com:

Add $1000 monitor to cart
Wait for pop-up that offers you a 10% off unique coupon (I don't need it: OMSC100425WZCEKW)
Add 2x LG mouse to cart (they offer a multi-buy discount, which gives you another 10% off the entire order)
Use a CC that offers a good % back (I think I used one that was offering 5% back through Paypal last year)

There is a cashback app that will offer 30% back when you install the app and go to LG.com. After about a day you'll get an email offering between 20-30% cashback (really you can only use the cashback on gift cards, so not true cashback).

Monitor after stacking all the above: $526.5

I think last year the white version was offered at $900 starting because I am pretty sure I purchased it for $474 after stacking, so it might be worth waiting.

I want one that dual modes to 1440, not 1080p lol. Havent played at 1080p in almost 10 years
1440p scaling to 4k would look horrible, 1080p to 4k scaling still looks reasonable because the pixels scale an even 1:4

Is there a 38-40" version of this monitor? 4K on 32" may be too small for my old eyes

I was denied cashback from the various cashback websites because it was Partner Portal and not the same front end as the regular store
But you can do the same with the Partner Portal price of 899.99, it ended up at 728.99/monitor (I got 3)
If you have the targeted deal w/ with AMEX, you can get 4% off up to $250 in cash back for LG.com (which works w/ the Partner Portal) which gave me an additional $87.48

Did you go to the URL before posting? Clearly says 4K UHD in the title.
he/she's just saying 1440p is not 4k. 2160p is 4k. should remove 1440p from the title even the link page says so but it's wrong
