For someone who wears gloves all day at work and has a form of dermatitis O'Keefe's is the best thing that has ever happened to me and my hands. I still peel (it is not a cure-all) but it is much less severe and much more manageable. For work it is now necessary.

You realize that once you wash your hands, any lotion rubs off.

This is for people who work wearing gloves or any manual labor where they are washing their hands multiple times a day which leads to cracked skin and cuticles.
Are you saying this doesn't wash off?
Even when I wipe my butt? EEK!

Would this work for face, specifically eyelid or is there something like this for facial use?

Try Vaseline for the face or eye

For those mystified what's the difference between this and all other lotions on the market, it's the ingredient Urea. Lots of lotions and moisturizers don't contain it, because Urea is only used in situations where you need to "peel" off dead skin, the primary reason for cracking. In higher concentrations it's way too harsh for the face, ears and sensitive parts - so most companies ignore it for safety reasons. All formulations that claim "cracking skin" repair will have a certain concentration of Urea in them. Don't use the stuff if you don't need it (Urea), but even O'Keeffe's formulations are on the lower side.
O'Keeffe's has an exfoliating version of their feet cream which is the highest concentration of Urea in it I believe. But that stuff feels like you're putting petroleum jelly on your feet even though it looks like cream. And if you have bleeding / deep cracked feet, get ready to be in pain for a bit - cause it will burn.
If you have a rare case of "deep yellow cracked" skin, you're going to need something with a prescription potentially.

how is this different than just lotion? you could use lotion everyday. unless this works just as well once a week but i doubt it.

It's much thicker than standard lotion. A little bit goes a long way, and it works very well.

I use it near the bridge of my nose where I have some extra dry skin, but I would be afraid to get it too close to my eyes.

I've been using this and the foot version for a few years. Works good and I feel like I got for a lot less than this at Walmart. Maybe it's just holidays? But I feel like they were $1.99 each. I bought a bunch and gave them to everyone for Christmas last year.
