I have the normal version of this as a UPS on my networking equipment (NAS, router, switches). Power has gone out twice that I know of since I got it and it switched over without rebooting the NAS. Pulling ~90 w it estimated 3 hours hrs run time on the screen but the power came back after a hour each time. Definitely not a 'wait out the storm' power outage solution, but good if you deal with occasional brown outs or frequent hiccups in your grid power. The normal River 3 Plus 286wh regularly goes on sale for $189 so this adds wireless charging capability/2 portable power banks + costco warranty for $30. I'll probably buy one next time Im in store for keeping in the mini van, mostly for the swappable power banks because the family likes playing Pokémon Go at the parks lol.
What is the Costco warranty

So I just tested to see if this can handle running my window AC and for how long.
Turns out it can for 21 minutes when the battery is at 50% when the AC is running on low fan speed, cool, and eco mode. (AC only pulls 380watts in this set up)
So I'm assuming it will power the window AC for 35 to 40 minutes when the battery is at 100%. Not bad but not a great use of the unit.

One thing I also noticed is when it's charging the battery it maxes out power input at 380W, but when it's charging and powering the AC. It will pull in energy over that 380w threshold. It was maxing out the input at 730watts. Enough to power the 380watt use from the AC and enough to recharge the battery at the same time.
(I was using the AC power cord to charge the Ecoflow)
I find this very interesting as I thought it would only go over the 380watt input limit when the second auxiliary battery is attached.

Just food for thought. And good to know it will pull in enough power to run your unit and charge the battery. So in the event the power comes back on it can charge the device and run your devices while getting ready for the next outage.

Who should get this unit? Who is it made for ?
We are using a few dozen as battery backups for point of sale systems and network equipment.
I'm personally using one at home to act as a battery backup for my CPAP machine.
I put my TV on another. It's nice to not have my shows interrupted when a storm rolls through and the power flickers on and off.

went ahead and purchased from Costco last night... hoping to see it get discounted again, to at least get money back, or do a return/rebuy. So far, I like how everything works. Powered my electric BougeRV cooler overnight, and pass thru works.
