Craftsman RP is finally making craftsman worth getting. It's basically just previous gen DeWalt in red. Which is very good at these prices. Kinda outclassing kobalt now in terms of value.

There's not a big resale market for Craftsman cordless tools, compared to the popular brands.
Their customers are mostly novices to cordless tools, so they're buying from retailers.

Interesting. So I assume a dewalt-craftsman battery adapter would work fine?

I'm wondering too b/c I want to get the cut-off tool but don't need any of the other tools. I'm actually thinking of just getting 2 cutoffs and selling the other one. My research shows 65-70 would be a safe bet for one of them.

Impact wrench maybe also would sell for 60+ on FB MP but the 275 torque rating is horrible by todays standards so not sure how easy it'd be to sell.

I sell unneeded tools from tool kits quite often on FB MP and my experience is that Ryobi is stupid easy to sell followed by Craftsman V20. Ridgid isn't bad either but people lowball too much and aren't willing to pay. Same goes for Milwaukee which is far worse with lowballers.

The people I get buying the Craftsman stuff are mostly boomer non-professional types but the demand is there and my experience is Craftsman buyers are far more reliable and will follow through 3x more than Ryobi buyers. Ryobi will get you far more messages but 90% will ghost/flake on you.

Since Ryobi & Craftsman V20 aren't overly expensive to begin with you can usually sell unneeded batteries and tools for decent money. Most recent was the V20 2-tool 6.5" Circ Saw + Drill with 2 batteries & charger combo that was $59 on here. I only needed the circ saw and sold the drill for $25 and both batteries and charger together for $40 getting the saw for free.

Also, do not try parting out Hart tool kits. They are very difficult to sell in my experience.

I bought a bunch of Craftsman brushless tools back when Lowes had them on clearance for 70-80% off and you could still use coupons on top of that. So I paid like $20 to $30 per tool on average.

When I went to go sell them off last year, I'd say I barely broke even and most all of the tools were new or in great shape. I'm in middle of Silicon Valley with millions of people nearby and there was barely any interest.

The only tools I kept was the Underhood car light and the miter saw. I got them for dirt cheap and still really them.
