You're absolutely correct, no need to upgrade from watch ultra 24 to ultra 25.
But, there is a significant change in terms of design for watch 8 classic.
Not sure it still has a shitty battery life.

Exactly, ugly design with mismatching shapes and plastic inserts. Also, Samsung straps look like proprietary for this gen. I use interchangeable Samsung straps, and other 20mm straps whenever I want on my 6 Classic. I'll probably skip this gen altogether and wait until they return to real classic designs.

Upgraded from Watch 7 44mm to Watch 8 40mm, The 44mm was just too big for my wrist.. i like smaller and light watch , but battery life sucks... anyways.

My purchased faces won't work on the newer models.

When o went from the watch 5 pro to a watch 7 44mm, I lost 1 full day of battery

I expect the similar with the watch 8 44mm
